	~ Broodmares ~ We are seriously working on cutting back some of our broodmares, so please be sure to take a good look at some of these girls as many are being offered for sale. They are all halter broke, some have been trained to ride and were used for general ranch-type work including trail riding and moving/sorting cattle. They are accustomed to life in the real world, so know how to find shelter, drink from live streams and ponds, and handle themselves in all sorts of conditions. Casino Three 1992 bay roan mare FOR SALE Casino Three is an own daughter of Lowry Star who was known for his ability to sire great rope and performance horses, passing on the attributes of Foundation Quarter Horses along with the predominate roan color. "Three" is nice mare who consistently produces big-boned, growthy foals. She is halter broke, can be tied, and is current with her vaccinations and worming. She has been pasture exposed to our stallion, Fritzy King Chex, for a 2012 foal. Casino Ms Kitty 1994 blue roan mare FOR SALE "Kitty" is another nice mare who is an own daughter of Lowry Star. She also consistently produces big-boned, growthy foals. She is halter broke, will stand tied, and is current with all vaccinations and worming. She has been pasture exposed to our stallion, Fritzy King Chex, for a 2012 foal. Box Star Brand 1996 buckskin mare "Brandy" is another outstanding mare who had the opportunity to prove herself as a calf roping and team roping horse in her earlier years. Since then, all of her foals have had exceptional dispositions resulting in ease of training, athletic ability, and balance to take our clients any direction they wish. She is a heavily-built mare who puts great bone on all her foals. We've kept a few of her daughters including Driftwood Lowry (bay roan) and Lowry Star Chex (buckskin). She is in foal to Uno Rooster for a 2012 foal! Cats Smart Lynx 1999 chestnut mare "Cat" is a wonderful mare Peg purchased when she lived in Colorado. She started her and successfully showed her in NRHA (Rocky Mountain Reining Horse Association) and AQHA (Rocky Mountain Quarter Horse Association) events on the front range. Her showing was limited due to other circumstances, but she was extremely easy to train and show. She has been pasture exposed to our stallion, Fritzy King Chex, for a 2012 foal. Little Star Drift 1999 buckskin mare "Mandy" is currently living in Cokeville, Wyoming, continuing to produce outstanding young quarter horse prospects for our clients. She is halter broke, will stand tied, and is current with all vaccinations and hoof care. Scrappy Girl 2000 bay mare "Scrappy" is another daughter of Lowry Star and is a consistent producer of big-boned, growthy foals, regardless of the stallion. We've had an incredible amount of interest in her 2008 buckskin gelding, Scrap Iron Chex. She was trained to ride, is easy to catch, and is current with all vaccinations and worming. She is in foal to Uno Rooster for a 2012 foal. Tacky Tiff Jay 2001 dun mare "Taffy" is a daughter of Mujer Tacky Jay, a 1987 buckskin stallion from Grantier Quarter Horses in Winnett, Montana. He brings the foundation bloodlines of Beau Bonanza, Roys Caballero, Poco Bueno, Jet Deck and Leo. She has produced some really good-minded, athletic foals for us. We haven't decided yet if we will offer "Taffy" for sale yet, but stay posted! She was only green broke, but started really nice and quiet with no problems. She has been pasture exposed to our stallion, Fritzy King Chex, for a 2012 foal. Lovely Pages Jay 2001 buckskin mare "Page" is another wonderfully minded mare who is one of the first to approach us for attention out in the pasture! Peg started her as a 2-year old and rode her throughout her 2- and 3-year old years before we decided to start her career as a broodmare. We think she would have made an outstanding reining horse prospect as she was extremely willing, kind, and wanted to please every time she was ridden. She could easily go back into a riding career - she's just that type of gal! She is in foal to Uno Rooster for a 2012 foal. Driftwood Lowry 2001 bay roan mare FOR SALE "Lori" is out of our good mare, Box Star Brand, and has her kind disposition. Peg started her as a 2-year old and rode her throughout her 2- and 3-year old years before we decided to start her career as a broodmare. She was used for general riding and moving/sorting cattle - all with a willing attitude. It sure wouldn't be hard to get her back into riding shape if that is what you want/need. She's fun and really easy to be around. She has been pasture exposed to our stallion, Fritzy King Chex, for a 2012 foal. Dots Okie 2001 chestnut mare "Dottie" is only one of two daughters we have out of our old mare, Delhi Dot by Dots Jessie so she will not be offered for sale. Peg started her as a 2-year old and rode her throughout her 2- and 3-year old years before we decided to start her career as a broodmare. She as another one who may have made an outstanding reining horse prospect as she was extremely athletic, and willing to try about anything. She is in foal to Uno Rooster for a 2012 foal. Lowry Jac Dun It 2004 dun mare FOR SALE "Jackie" has proven to be an outstanding broodmare following her riding career. She is an own daughter of money earner Chex N Dun It who is a son of Bueno Chexinic (lifetime earnings of over $28,000). Peg started her as a 2-year old and rode her throughout her 2- and 3-year old years, moving and sorting cattle and even getting some working cowhorse clinics under her experience belt. She is in foal to Uno Rooster for a 2012 foal. Nic A Dot 2004 dun mare FOR SALE "Nikki" is another mare who is an own daugher of money earner Chex N Dun It who is a son of Bueno Chexinic (lifetime earning of over $28,000). Peg started her as a 2-year old and rode her throughout her 2- and 3-year old years, moving and sorting cattle and enjoying her on trail rides. She is a bit small, but fun to ride, extremely kind and friendly. She'll come right up to us in the pasture. She has been pasture exposed to our stallion, Fritzy King Chex, for a 2012 foal. CG Ima Shining Star 2004 dun mare "Betty" is a gorgeous dark dun daughter of Shining Spark we purchased at the Rocky Mountain Quarter Horse Association Mile High Select Sale at the National Western Stock Show in 2008. She was shown at the 2007 NRHA Non-Pro Futurity, earned her AQHA Performance Register of Merit in 2009, and is also enrolled in the National Reining Breeders Classic (NRBC). She completed her reining training and showing career with Steve Schwartzenberger out of Longmont, Colorado, qualifying for the 2009 and 2010 AQHA World Shows in Junior Reining and the 2009 NRHA North American Affiliate Championship Show in Novice Horse Open. Poco Dot Quixote 2003 grey mare "Grace" is one of two daughters we have out of our old mare, Delhi Dot by Dots Jessie so she will not be offered for sale. Peg started her as a 2-year old and rode her throughout her 2- and 3-year old years before we decided to start her career as a broodmare. She is a joy to be around and has produced some outstanding foals for Shield H Quarter Horses! She has been pasture exposed to our stallion, Fritzy King Chex, for a 2012 foal. Pocodoc A Chex 2004 buckskin mare FOR SALE "Emma" is an independent, quiet, gentle mare who is proving to be quite a broodmare. Peg started her as a 2-year old and rode her throughout her 2- and 3-year old years, moving/sorting cattle and trail riding as far away as the Black Hills of South Dakota. She could easily go back into being a nice riding horse for the right person. She has been pasture exposed to our stallion, Fritzy King Chex, for a 2012 foal. Unos Shining Jewel 2005 buckskin mare "Jewel" is a big, sweet buckskin mare we purchased as a yearling with plans of taking her into the reining horse world. Not only did she make a nice non-pro reiner, she proved herself in the halter classes as well! She is a daughter of Uno Rooster who has proven himself in the cutting, reining, and working cowhorse pens. She has been in reining training with Steve Schwartzenberger out of Longmont, Colorado and is currently at home, in foal to Hang Ten Surprize for a 2012 foal! Lowry Star Chex 2006 buckskin mare "Jill" is out of our good mare, Box Star Brand, and has her kind disposition. Peg started her as a 2-year old and rode her throughout her 2- and 3-year old years. She is really an athletic young mare who did everything she was asked. She has a great attitude, great confirmation, and is just plain fun to ride. She was used for general riding and moving/sorting cattle - all with a willing attitude. She is in foal to Uno Rooster for a 2012 foal. Shesa Shining Spark 2006 sorrel mare "Molly" is an own daughter of Shining Spark whose foals have earned over $7.3 million and over 32,000 AQHA points! Peg started her early in her 2-year old year; she is currently in training with Jarvis Anderson Performance Horses located at Green Valley Ranch in Aubrey, Texas. Jarvis recently earned her AQHA ROM in Junior Reining! Stay tuned for her accomplishments! Uno Miss Jewel 2007 bay mare "Jodie" is a daughter of Uno Rooster who has lifetime earnings of nearly $26,000 in the NCHA, NRHA, and the NRCHA. We're pretty excited about this mare - she's a gorgeous mover, is extremely athletic, and is naturally showing the reining maneuvers with style. She is currently in training with Jarvis Anderson Performance Horses located at Green Valley Ranch in Aubrey, Texas. Stay tuned for her accomplishments! Commanders Nicky 2007 bay mare FOR SALE "CeeCee" is a daughter of Commanders Nic who has lifetime earnings of over $275,500. We are really excited about this little mare too - she moves level in any gait she chooses, even out in the pastures! Peg started her early in her 2-year old year; she is currently at home taking a well-deserved break from her training. Miss Shining Snapp 2009 chestnut mare "Joy" is a 100% joy to Shield H Quarter Horses. She is a daughter of Master Snapper who has lifetime earnings of $135,000. Her dam, Miss Shining Jewel, is the mother of 2 other outstanding mares in our program, Unos Shining Jewel and Miss Shining Jewel. "Joy" was a dream to start under saddle; she is now starting her reining training with Jarvis Anderson Performance Horses loacted at Green Valley Ranch in Aubrey, Texas.
