Tifritz Jay, 2006 sorrel gelding

"Jay" is another great-minded, athletic gelding who was started spring of 2008 and was ridden throughout '08 into '09. He worked on a large horse/cattle ranch in Evanston, Wyoming from July '09 until October '09. He shows a TON of feel and ability, all with a great attitude to top off the package.

Zans Curly Gold, 2006 chestnut gelding

"Curly" is showing some serious promise as a performance prospect. He has a beautiful, naturally low headset, is soft in the bridle, & handles himself very well! He was started spring of 2008 & was ridden throughout '08 into '09. He worked on a large horse/cattle ranch in Evanston, Wyoming from July '09 until October '09. He is riding like a true athlete - try him out yourself!

Driftwood Lena Chex, 2007 bay gelding

"Tracy"is another gelding out of one of our younger broodmares who was trained & used for general ranch work. His sire continues to produce unbeatable confirmation & trainable/willing attitudes. He is a pretty gelding with eye appeal, a clean throatlatch, balance, and is structurally correct, loaded with style. He was started spring 2009 and is riding great both in the arena and outside. He is soft, responsive, and just wants to please, please, please!

Playdot Chex, 2007 palomino gelding

Here's another opportunity to own a son of Fritzy King Chex, complete with Dots Jessie on the bottom side.  This colt is flashy & will prove himself everywhere you take him. He was started summer 2009 and is riding great both in the arena and outside.  He is soft, responsive, confident and just plain nice to ride!

Brand Bar Remedy, 2008 bay gelding

This gelding is out of one of Steve's favorite mares.  He has some big shoes to fill as his elder siblings have been outstanding ranch/riding horses.  He is started under saddle and is current with hoof care, worming, and all vaccinations.

Chexy Poco Star, 2008 grey gelding

This gelding is out of a mare we trained and used around the ranch for moving and sorting cattle.  She is a really nice mare to be around.  We've sold all her previous foals, so unless Chexy Poco Star sells, he'll be the first we'll start here at Shield H Quarter Horses.  He is started under saddle and is current with hoof care, worming, and all vaccinations.

Drifted Chexinic, 2008 sorrel gelding

Here is a half brother to Driftwood Lena Chex and is he ever flashy!  He's also well put-together and has "performance show horse" written all over him.  He will be started under saddle soon and is current with hoof care, worming, and vaccinations.

Janes Pic Remedy, 2008 palomino gelding

This is Miss Jane Lowry's last foal, so here's your chance to own a doozy! Check out his beautiful palomino color. Jane was an own daughter of Lowry Star who sired many exceptional quarter horses. These horses are fierce competitors in the rodeo & show arenas alike. This guy will certainly get you noticed too! He will be started under saddle soon and is current with hoof care, worming, and vaccinations.

Lovinic Jay Chex, 2008 buckskin filly

This little girl's dam was trained and ridden throughout her 2- and 3-year old years. She was an exceptional mare and could have easily had a reining career, but we didn't have the time or resources to do that at the time. This filly will be started under saddle soon and is current with hoof care, worming, and vaccinations.

Scrap Iron Chex, 2008 buckskin gelding

You want size, color, AND great bloodlines? Here's the whole package! This gelding has it all and looks to be a promising rope horse prosect. He already looks the part, and this photo was taken when he was just a yearling! He is started under saddle and is current with hoof care, worming, and all vaccinations.

Tiffinic Chex, 2008 dun filly

This cute little filly is a half sister to Tifritz Jay, who is really turning out to be a nice horse. Her dam was only green-broke, but she accepted everything really well. We don't expect this filly to be any different. She was really easy to halter break and get her feet handled/trimmed.  This filly will be started under saddle soon and is current with hoof care, worming, and vaccinations.

Chexinic Smart Cat, 2008 palomino gelding

This gelding is out of Cats Smart Lynx, a mare Peg showed in the RMQHA and RMRHA. He is a cute, good-minded, well balanced young horse who should do extremely well in the reining and/or working cowhorse arenas. He will be started under saddle soon and is current with hoof care, worming, and vaccinations.

Chexinic Jessie, 2009 dun filly

This is Nic A Dot's first foal and a spitting image of her, although she will mature to be a larger mare. She is confirmationally correct and balanced in every way with an adorable personality to boot! She is halter broke, so will lead and stand quietly while tied. She has had her feet handled, hooves trimmed, and is current with worming and all vaccinations.

Fritzys Tacky Tiff, 2009 dun/roan gelding

This guy will come find YOU in the pasture! He has been extremely easy to handle before we even weaned. He's got his sire's short, bull-dog style quarter horse head along with great confirmation. His full brother is Tifritz Jay (above). He is halter broke, so will lead and stand quietly while tied. He has had his feet handled, hooves trimmed, wolf teeth pulled, and is current with worming and all vaccinations.

Ima Frosty Rooster, 2009 buckskin gelding

This colt's mother was in foal when we purchased her from the Sunshine Ranch out of Conrad, Montana. She being an own daugher of Gallo Del Cielo (aka Rooster) and this colt having AP Frosty Knight, an own son of Sun Frost, as his sire makes him incredibly marketable! He is halter broke, so will lead and stand quietly while tied. He has had his feet handled, hooves trimmed, wolf teeth pulled, and is current with worming and all vaccinations.

Fritzys Dry Chex, 2009 blue roan filly

Here is another yearling who will search you out in the pasture every time. She has a personality like her mother ~ extremely kind and gentle. She is halter broke, so will lead and stand quietly while tied. She has had her feet handled, hooves trimmed, wolf teeth pulled, and is current with worming and all vaccinations.

Okie Lena Fritz, 2009 bay gelding

Steve thinks this is one of our best colts from the 2009 bunch.  He is, indeed, extremely correct, well-balanced, and comes complete with a kind disposition. He is halter broke, so will lead and stand quietly while tied. He has had his feet handled, hooves trimmed, wolf teeth pulled, and is current with worming and all vaccinations.

Scrap Star Lena, 2009 dark buckskin gelding

(current photo not available)

This colt is out of a mare who was used for general ranch type work and trail riding. He is a leggy colt and has more of a thoroughbred look to him. He will mature to a good size and will be a nice all around horse. He has had his feet handled, hooves trimmed, wolf teeth pulled, and is current with worming and all vaccinations.

Lowry Starchex , 2009 bay roan colt

We were really surprised to get a bay roan out of a gray mare, but there is no doubt about it - he's a roan! His mother was used for general ranch use and riding before she changed careers. He is halter broke, so will lead and stand quietly while tied. He has had his feet handled, hooves trimmed, wolf teeth pulled, and is current with worming and all vaccinations.
